The Beauty Of Water

Too often, I see people eating their gelato without a glass of water. I think this is a tragedy. Anyone who enjoys a good cream based dessert should know that their palates become confused and dulled by the very thing we crave. My favorite way of cleansing the plate is with a good glass of water. I prefer room temperature Fiji.

Fiji water is awesome water. I don't know if I buy all their packaging (see However, I will say that their water is smooth and soft in a way that is unexpected. I prefer it room temperature because my tongue gets cold from all this gelato. While cold, my tongue becomes numb. So swishing a good mouthful of warm water can really prepare my mouth for another taste. Each spoonful is like your first all over again.

*NOTE: Barring bringing your own water, you can always ask for a glass of water without ice.

  1. I agree. The sips of water really cleanse the palate. It's like sniffing coffee beans inbetween sampling perfume oils. Best place for Fiji water is certainly Trader Joes!
