Salt Assault

Good Grief!!! We woke up this morning with no intention of leaving the house. We probably would have stayed in pajamas all day if not for a frantic call from "The Sniffer" that alerted us to the possibility of Sea Salt. It needed to be verified so I hung up with Sniffer and speed dialed Capogiro- 13Th street. You have to verify because we have rushed over plenty of times to find out that the flavor that was sent in the email was not actually made. The latest was just the other day when they said they had Pawpaw on the website but a call confirmed my fears. A tear trickle, no Pawpaw. So this morning I was bracing for the worst, but the woman on the phone was like, "Oh sure we have Sea Slat." We got there at 1230Pm, sniffer was already there and most of the flavors were still pristine, untouched like delicious glistening sculptures. We tried the sea salt first and knew this was worth the walk in 20 degree weather. The website said try it with Golden Margarita and so we did. It was so good! Sugar thought of Salt and chocolate so we tried that too. They were both so good that we could not decide. We ordered a pint of Sea Salt and a pint of Blood Orange for later. But this didn't help us decide what we would have in Capogiro. We decided on a medium which would accommodate for the three flavors. Sugar was skeptical and truthfully I was only hoping the three wouldn't clash, but they all tasted great together. Even Margarita and Chocolate tasted great without the salt. We left our pints there for a while because we had a coupon for Mordors (Borders) and picked them up on the way back. Such a great day, the cold be damned. I would go again right now if I didn't have three pints in the fridge.

  1. Read the January online newsletter from Capo, they did salt because of your requests.
